The 17th Western China Overseas High Tech and High Talents Conference

The Western China Overseas High Tech and High Talents Conference, founded in 1995, is hosted by Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council of China, Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the Central Committee of Jiusan Society. It is the largest and influential event in western China to recruit talents and promote international cooperation on talents and technology. In recent years, Chinese leaders such as Chen Zhu and Han Qide, Nobel Prize winners Ding Zhaozhong, Ada Yonath and other internationally renowned scholars, as well as professors from elite colleges in North America, Europe and Southeast Asia have attended the corresponding activities. Each year, more than 500 overseas professionals and innovation teams participate to promote exchanges and cooperation between Sichuan, China and various countries in the world in international academic, educational and scientific projects.
